A'Saffa Foods urges consumers to stay fit, stay healthy with latest social media campaign

A’Saffa Foods, the Sultanate’s largest fully integrated poultry producer of chilled and frozen chicken, snack food, and allied products has recently launched a one-of-its-kind social education and awareness campaign on its social media channels – ‘Stay healthy, stay fit’, to make consumers aware of the importance of consuming chicken to stay healthy. The initiative aims to educate consumers about the benefits of eating chicken through a series of posts that highlight how chicken is a major source of protein and should be a household’s preferred protein choice.

A’Saffa ‘stay fit, stay heathy’ campaign is spearheaded by a post captioned - ‘Did you know?’ on its social media sites such as Facebook, Instagram and Twitter. The post then goes on to explain the nutritional benefits of consuming chicken. Some of the posts on the brand’s social media pages explain how a serving of 100 grams (about three ounces) of cooked skinless, boneless breast has only one gram of saturated fat and less than four grams of total fat; 100 grams of skinless, boneless breast has 31 grams of protein – more than half the recommended daily allowance of 46 grams of protein for an adult female; and how chicken is naturally low in sodium, and skinless, boneless chicken has only 74 milligrams of sodium per three and a half ounce (100 gram) portion
