A’Saffa Foods participation in Winter Village 2018 an overwhelming success

Posted on Jul 23, 2019

A’Saffa Foods, Oman’s largest fully integrated poultry, snacks and allied food producer was the Gold Sponsor of the recently held Winter Village 2018, at Oman Convention & Exhibition Centre (OCEC). Apart from lending its support in the form of a sponsorship, the company also participated in the ten-day event for families, wherein they enjoyed an exciting arrangement of fun-packed shows and activities.

The Winter Village not only provided a recreational atmosphere for its audience but also encouraged SMEs to flourish, and brought together local and foreign traditions collectively through a dynamic range of food stalls, a seasonal market and artworks on display.

Families at the Winter Village were able to enjoy a tasty, spread of satisfying halal chicken and snacks, at a specially designed stall that was part of the A’Saffa Foods’ sponsored Food-Trucks Street at the event.

“The Winter Village offered children, families, friends, and travelers a central destination to celebrate the winter season in a magical setting”, said Sidhartha Lenka, Head of Marketing and Sales of A’Saffa Foods, “There was no better way to extend our commitment to the cultural vibrancy of the city than by sponsoring and participating in the Winter Village, which provided lasting memories for residents and visitors alike. The event was the perfect strategic platform to reinforce our position as a preferred choice in the food industry’s poultry, snacks and allied foods category.”

Here, they are raised on a nutrition-rich 100 percent natural feed of yellow corn and soya from A’Saffa’s own feed mill, with absolutely no steroids, no growth hormones and no animal waste recycled feed substitutes. Only when the chicken reaches the desired weight naturally are they taken from the farms to the processing plant.

It is worth mentioning that A’Saffa Foods’ Board of Directors have approved an expansion plan to raise chicken meat production capacity by 100 percent and continue in their endeavor to foster and support food security, self-sufficiency and increased employment opportunities in the Sultanate. The total capital expenditure outlay of the expansion is RO 45 million, and has been approved by the Board. A’Saffa Foods will double its poultry production capacities with this expansion.
